      DESCRIPTION:
       → One when thinks of a monk the image that jumps to your mind is more then likely that of an elderly man well passed his prime, yet he remains dignified, well dressed and has an air about him that bespeaks of years of experience as well as wisdom.  Of course if you picture this you couldn't get farther from Kaede in terms of looks alone. No, he is in fact a fairly young man, and his hair is in no way grey.Instead its a rich almost vibrant black that has more volume then should be allowed.

And while he still displays a dignified air, he is obviously the short that can't or want take him self all that seriously. What with his darting inquisitive eyes, which are a warm brown, ink stained fingers and almost constant smile... He looks like nothing more then an over grown school boy. At least on the surface. And while this child like look is sort of at odds with his masculine jawline, and five foot ten frame... It almost sort of fits.

As for clothing well, Kaede doesn't really have a set style out side of his work. Meaning that he can and often does wear just about anything you could think of when relaxing by himself or among others. Though when working(A word used loosely let me assure you) his attire is anything but what one could consider normal outside of japan. Consisting of wooden sandals, tabi socks, Shinto robes and his always present prayer beads.



       PERSONALITY:
       → There are few people who can be summed up with one or two words, after all each and every human being is a complex individual and no single word could wrap up a personality so easily. But for Kaede it is a sort of simple complexity and as such one word can and does some up the some of his parts. That word being, friendly.

To Kaede each and every individual he meets is a future boon companion, and while he knows that he may be at odds with them for the time being... You never know what the future may hold! A one time enemy may become ones best friend, so long as you strive for it. This comes off as a tad odd in stress filled or action packed situations, seeing as he would apologize profusely for having to cause one harm. In fact, even as he rips out your soul with nothing more then his bare hands and a few shiny beads... He wont stop saying how genuinely sorry he truly is! But he won't let his own personal feelings get in the way of his mission, no matter how much it may hurt him on a personal level.

But whats more, he feels that it is his duty to teach those about him. It is his calling to bring enlightenment and understanding to any he may meet and baring that he wishes to bring them some sort of peace. Not for any reason other then that to be a good man one must care for his fellow man, after all to better another's life is to make the world a better place.

That brings us to yet another important detail. Kaede is for all intents and purposes a man seeking redemption, and to this end his goal is to rid the world of corruption... But knowing that as a whole that is beyond him he has taken on a personal crusade. In his mind, the powers of those like him self as well as the abilities of the gods and demons of the land are meant to be used for the betterment of all sentient races... But some of these beings chose to abuse their power, to hold it over those that go without instead of using their  abilities for the betterment of all. It is these individuals and this type of corruption that Kaede has chosen to combat... Knowing that his small effort will have a profound impact on those about him. In the end, he seeks to teach the world that though communing and in the end mastering the spirits that dwell on the other side one may better not only them selves but the world as a whole.
