      DESCRIPTION:
       →
Head:  Alexander's hair is silver-white, typically being the first part of him that gains attention from a distance.  It is kept typically unkempt, at a length that reaches down to his shoulders at the back, though the hair is kept from getting into his eyes.  Similar and yet different from his hair, Xan's eyes are grey in color, seeming to be silver in the presence of bright light and almost black in the presence of a darkened space.  On a normal basis, his eyes are slightly closed, giving him a calm appearance bordering on aloof.  Going down slightly lower, it is noted that Di Morné's near-perpetual half-smile completes the image of carefree intellectual.

Body:  Alexander's skin is milk-chocolate brown, which provides a stark contrast with his silver-white hair and grey eyes.  His body type is athletic, though specifically speaking he has a lithe frame which speaks to his speed and stamina.  Instead of having bulging muscles, Xan's body displays its physical prowess through the tone of its muscle structure.  A thin X in the center of his chest that reaches from underneath his ribcage and crosses in the center of his pectorals is the most significant scar that Di Morné possesses from his time in the Recon Corps, though there is a mark on the back of his neck from where his S.A.A.D was implanted.

       PERSONALITY:
       →
The Alchemist:

Calm: Alexander has been described as laid back to the point of being utterly carefree, and when he is not actively on duty for the country of Agania, that is entirely true.  He typically speaks in a calm voice that carries an aloof drawl that can make him appear to be almost sleepy or uninterested in what is occurring around him.  A compliment to his calm nature, he is also quiet when he is in his 'civilian status,' though there is a switch somewhere that can be activated in his mind under unknown circumstances.  He can go from being the quiet individual to being rather talkative under for now unknown circumstances, though the lazy drawl will likely remain either way.

Jovial: Xan has also been described as being rather jovial and easily amused, constantly chuckling at events unfolding around him or outright laughing at things that most people can not seem to find the amusing factor of.  When asked about what causes his amusement, it is rare to get a straight answer out of him, as he typically reverts to quiet contemplation soon after his mirth subsides.

Mischievous: Finally, Alexander has been described as being a rather mischievous individual in his own little ways.  Pranking is a rarity for the militant, however there are other ways, and being manipulative is his specialty.  He delights in placing others into amusing or compromising situations and watching them try to escape.  Another of his favored activities is using his talents to confuse people or 'help out around the cities,' something that he has gotten rather talented at over the years.

The Military:

Silent: On-duty, Alexander's quiet becomes utter silence, from voice all the way to physical sound.  It is rare to hear the man speak once he dons his gear, as he effectively becomes a different person, having separated his personas long ago in order to increase his effectiveness.  He will speak only in order to give suggestions on how to best complete tasks or otherwise to respond to a question, and even then would prefer to answer silently if possible as he typically does not respond unless there is a pressing reason why he should do so.  When he does speak however, the lazy drawl that he uses off-duty is absent.  The calm is still there, however his words become sharp, his voice taking on a completely purpose-oriented accent.

Observant: The jovial nature that Di Morné boasts as a civilian is as absent as his voice while his Recon gear is donned.  Instead, in his silence Alexander's mind is constantly active, evaluating every thing that his senses observe and especially studying the enemy's every action down to every inconspicuous twitch of their fingers.  Beyond this, the alchemist's mind is constantly keeping track of several things at once, not the least of which being the most effective methods of defeating enemies without costing vast expenditures of alchemic energy.

Manipulative: As with his other major personality points, Alexander's mischievous nature is morphed when he dons his Recon uniform.  He still enjoys manipulation, but as a militant his manipulative nature is undoubtedly fatal in practice.  His style revolves around studying his opponent and figuring out methods to trick them and be one step ahead of them at all times.

       HISTORY:
→ Alexander was born in the second layer of Agania, in a city on its southernmost side known as Trost.  His parents were the caretakers of a rather large library within the town, and as such the boy grew up around books and never had a shortage of them.  It was fortunate therefore, that he was born with a naturally inquisitive mind and a lively thirst for knowledge.  These traits served to guarantee that he would be an avid reader, and an avid reader he would become as soon as he learned how to read.  It was apparent from an early age that the young Di Morné was possessed of an above average intelligence, and his parents occupation allowed that intellect to be trained through the written word.

Aside from his intelligence, two other natural traits would significantly affect Alexander's future choices and occupation; the aforementioned curiosity and one more, but first onto the curiosity.  The boy was told tales of the outside world by his parents, and enjoyed reading books about the 'World Outside' more than almost any others.  He was so fascinated by such tales that he would vow to see beyond the walls with his own eyes, walk on uncharted lands with his own two feet.  This would be his prime motivation to join the Recon Corps when he became older, but as a child this was simply fuel for his imagination.  The final trait that significantly influenced his decisions in life was the fact that unlike eighty percent of the population, Alexander Di Morné had the ability to become an Alchemist.

Some see alchemy as a gift, some see it as a curse, but Xan saw his power as something more; within alchemy, he saw a method of seeing the 'World Outside.'  It was rare to find a single human who was a match for a Titan, the horrors that stalked the earth just outside the walls.  It took entire teams working in concert to destroy single Titans, however within alchemy Alexander saw the potential to destroy the Titans with far more ease and open the path for Humanity to advance.  It would be with advancement in mind that Alexander would devote himself to alchemical study, learning the ancient theories and memorizing complex chemical equations and practical applications.

Those born with gifted intelligence often find themselves only displaying their true intellect when presented with challenges that they are interested in, while challenges from lesser subjects are casually breezed through or ignored completely.  Alchemy became Alexander's only focus, to the exclusion of many other things, and he became knowledgeable in the art swiftly.  When he became eligible, the alchemy-minded youth joined the Military of Agania, being trained for years to serve in one of the services.  At some point within his training, Di Morné received the S.A.A.D. Operation, and after being given a limited local anesthesia had a small watch inserted along the base of his spine, giving him control over his alchemical abilities.  Though he was not particularly strong physically, Alexander was agile and had excellent spacial awareness, making him a natural user of Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear.  Together with his natural talent for alchemy, these aspects allowed for him to graduate as one of the top ten trainees.  He could have chosen between any of the military branches, but chose the Recon Corps, the only humans who set foot outside the Walls.  It has been some time since his graduation, but the goals have never once changed; Alexander Di Morné will clear the way for human advancement, exploring and unlocking the way to new territories by developing a power that will allow him to destroy the Titans.

      TRIVIA:
→ "Trivia?  Humanity is in danger and you want trivia?"
→ An interesting fact is that Alexander's wristwatch S.A.A.D. is still ticking, and though his mind 'ignores' it, the ticking allows him to tell time to a frightening display.
