...........................................................................
CASE FILE: Ayakashi

Wind of God come blow up on us / Breath of God come breathe within us now
...........................................................................

FULL NAME:
→ Takeda, Shisou

SEX:
→ Male

BIRTH PLACE:
→ Ancient Okinawa

RACE:
→ Japanese

TYPE OF AYAKASHI:
→ Daibakaze, Wind Demon

...........................................................................

HEIGHT:
→ 5‘ 8“ Normally

WEIGHT:
→ 150 to 200 pounds normally

PICTURE:
Spoiler:
Human - Ayakashi form -

DESCRIPTION:

→ Human - Takeda’s hair color is black, which is tied up in a ponytail to keep it clean and neat. His face practically screams japanese. If not different in the manner that he doesn’t look like anyone of recent japanese descent. More like someone’s ancestor drawn up from the grave and reborn, if that wasn't obvious enough upon close observation. He has eyes brown that seem to swirl and look sharply through and past anything and everything if stared into deep enough. Purely unnatural. Skin pale as if the sun see it naught and the wind scours it icily everyday. His jaw is narrow and strong with a chiseled face as if it belongs on a statue rather than on a person. His face has a strong nose and thin lips under it. His ears are round with a slight point at the top, and the glasses he wears are for purely aesthetic reasons rather than a physical deformity.

His build is incredibly lean as there isn't significant bulk of muscle that would imply great strength or power. Instead his body is built for speed, reaction time and stamina. Which resembles the primary way the wind is, hard to hit, fast to hit first and it last forever. Holding his share of scars across his body as if some are from ages past to the ones present. They range from all shapes and sizes and seem to change frequently after a good nights sleep. His scars however usually appear on his chest, back and limbs rather than his head or smaller appendages. As he has rarely been injured in such small locations.

The man if you could call him that, wields a Katana and Wakizashi. His swords have a face blowing the wind and a clash of horns design on the tsuba. He wears a traditional hakama and gi in indigo blue patterned with a white diamond kamon made up of four small white diamonds. His kamon. The swords are typically worn at all times as they are his bags of wind transformed in two parts. He carries them as if he is at least of samurai class if his own posture speaks otherwise.

His voice when he speaks is smooth and typically heavy with a more ancient japanese accent that has been described as “Both delicate and controversial.” His face is the epitome of change as he seems to never have just one constant expression. As he is like the wind and changes in terms of ferocity and direction. He walks with a calculated purpose which can seem at times slow and taking in the world or quick and controlled, his eyes seem to change with his expressions and his footsteps are always balanced as if ready for a sudden attack or to make one. His footprints in the bare ground or grass always give a light or no impression that he had walked there. As if the wind had only blown by. Typically he is in this form most of the time unless he chooses otherwise.

Ayakashi - As a body double for the god of wind he can look exactly like him. Typically in legend the God of the Wind is colored in green or red as he changes colors frequently and without care and is portrayed typically as a terrifying wizard-like demon. His head is portrayed as if he is a terrifying monster who smiles constantly as if amused. He wears random pieces of clothing or none at all as he keeps a disheveled changing appearance that seems to continue to switch on the fly. He can be chubby or incredibly skinny or even muscular and powerful as he chooses. The only real constant is the enormous tube-like bag that is incredible decorative and seems to be made of silk and has gold and silver symbols pictures all over it. The bag is full of wind and howls constantly, sometimes it is as quiet as a whisper others it gales over anyones voice. If any lettering of any language is read upon the bag it is simply, kamikaze, translated into any other language as the divine wind. He also has a leopard skin that covers his back like a cape typically. Typically if he transforms into a ayakashi form it would be this one. After all he’s still covering for his true master.

True Form - His true form is simply a shapeless large gale of wind blasting the area. Moving light objects and shaking tree’s or weak buildings like sheds. As mere happenstance, the noise is incredibly loud at all times and he cannot communicate at all whatsoever in his true form. He rarely if ever transforms into this form anymore and hangs onto the shred of hope he’ll never have to use it again.

PERSONALITY:

→ Takeda is concerned with his own well-being and that of whatever group or organization which aids him currently. Takeda usually behaves in a good manner to those that he considers friends and allies, but will usually act maliciously against those who have tried to injure him or them in some way. For the rest, he simply doesn't care. He doesn't wish ill on those he doesn't know, but he also doesn't care when he hears of evil befalling them. Better for others to suffer the evil than him and his allies. If an ally is in need, he will aid them, whether out of genuine love/friendship or because he may need to count on that ally a little more in the future is unknown. If a stranger is in need, he will usually weigh the options of the potential rewards versus dangers associated with the act. If an enemy is in need, he will ignore them or take advantage of that misfortune.

Takeda is just as offended by those who are extremely opinionated or bigoted. A "hell-fire and brimstone" priest is just as offensive as a evil racial supremacist in his eyes. Takeda strives for a philosophical balance as he truly believes everything must have a balance in life. Moderation to it's finest is his belief. He holds that law, chaos, good, and evil are all necessary forces in the universe. All are of equal import and none should be allowed to take precedence over another, unless an imbalance should be perceived--in which case corrective steps must be taken until the balance is righted once again.

Because of these reasons, he feels as if he is nature's mediator. He comes across as diplomatic and tactful, but also as being strange and enigmatic until one gets to know him and his "world view" better. This is because he tends to look far beyond the immediate situation to the overall long term of the situation. Even if it's past his own lifetime.

Truly some simpler phrases to describe Takeda would be that he will keep his word if in his best interest. He may attack an unarmed foe if he feels it necessary. He will not kill, but may harm an innocent. He may use torture to extract information, but never for pleasure. He will never kill for pleasure, only in self-defense or in the defense of others. Takeda may use poison as long as there is an overwhelming need. He will help those in need if it is in his best interest and works well alone or in a group.

He responds well to higher authority until that authority attempts to use the law to hamper his ability to pursue his own self-interest. He will follow the law unless breaking it is in his best interest and he's reasonably sure that he will not be caught. He will never betray a family member, comrade, or friend unless the situation is dire. True neutral characters are indifferent to the concepts of self-discipline and honor, finding them useful only if they can be used to advance their own interests.

HISTORY:
→ As one of the eldest of the original Ayakashi and one of the first Ayakashi out of the millions. Takeda was made right after Kami Fuujin completed his first tasks for the kami Izanagi and Izanami. Once it was over and done with he and Raijin frequently competed with each other through the ages. Fuujin saw and lived through many of the periods of Japan’s history. Fuujin made Takeda and so Takeda was his bodyguard and closest confidante. Takeda was Fuujin’s friend, body guard and at times his body double in times of great danger. Fuujin bestowed upon Takeda many powers of the wind, including the ability to transform and look identical to Fuujin himself.

Little is known of his history or actions other than vague stories or legends passed from father to son, mother to daughter. As legends recall Fuujin more clearly than his bodyguard whom saved him on many occasions and vice versa. His history for the most part is simply assisting Fuujin in his duties, fighting alongside him (particularly against Raijin his rival) and walking the land (so to speak) with Fuujin. As Fuujin tired throughout the eon’s of years of conflict, strife and very little peace; so did his servant and friend Takeda. Temporarily for a great time Fuujin let his old servant go to live life among the humans and learn from them. Fuujin however ensured through a promise that Takeda would be alongside Fuujin if it was required. So it was that Takeda lived amongst the humans and learned a great deal among all professions. Everything from the lowliest servant to merchants, sailors, daimyo’s, shogun’s, samurai, gunmen, ninja’s, tanners, tailors, cloth makers and more.

Although by far few were his favorites, all were enjoyable paths. His favorites being Samurai, Ninja’s, Tanners and Sailors. As those were the times that took him to places far and wide with people that were wonderful. The discipline hind each of those professions taught him a great deal about human life as well. Every skill however was useful in some manner that provided a new insight on how everything in the human world worked. Knowledge and skill provided a path and key to wisdom which was something he desired to have and maintain greatly.

He remains well versed and skilled in all the endeavors he partaked in for years at a time. He rarely has used his powers of the wind to do more than assist those who prayed for his favor or those he thought deserved it. As he tended to do on Fuujin’s behalf. Likewise on the reverse he used it to destroy those who did not respect him or others that deserved it. In recent history with the approach of Ayakashi hunters upon Japan he has battled far more often than he would have liked and it has become tedious and annoying over the past many years.

For the present day he has only retained his shape shifting power and is still working on healing and growing stronger to regain the powers he once had. The reason for it was a titantic battle when Fuujin finally recalled him back at his side. It was sudden and unexpected as he was living as a restaurant owner at the time. The battled lasted for a couple of years and ended only recently. Raijin and Fuujin were both gravely wounded and healing. Takeda himself was greatly wounded, not on his body, but in his spirit and powers. He had lost all, except for his ability to shapeshift. For now he tries to throw Raijin off Fuujin’s trail by running interference upon the land of Japan. To him it is far more important for his master to heal before he does. Hopefully they both will heal and be at each others side once more. For now he must heal and prevent Raijin from finding Fuujin.

REVISE
------------------------------------------------

MURA! :3 Long time, no see! And, glad to see you're back with us writing. //_^ Went through your app and there's a few things that need some tweaking and fixing.

~Lyrics/quote: missing.
~Birthplace: Where in Japan? You'll need to go at this from a non-god perspective.
~Race: Would still be Japanese. Just Japanese.
~Type: Okay, Ayakashi and Kami are two totally different things. Ayakashi are spirits, Kami are Shinto gods. Gods are off limits; wind demon, however, is fair game. Places where you've got Ayakashi/Kami throughout the app need to be changed just to Ayakashi.

~Description:
Given that you're giving the descriptions for a human form and his Ayakashi (switch god for Ayakashi) form, I'm guessing that shapeshifting is your starting phenomenon. However, I am still left wondering a bit what he chooses most often, if humans can hear him or if they only know the wind is blowing harder, just a bit more about him and his preferences.

~History:
This is where some heavier tweaking is needed. Going back to not being a god, you'll need to rework that starter paragraph. How did he come to be a wind demon? This paragraph's also very vague as it assumes that every player is going to be immensely well-versed in Japanese lore and that they'll automatically know who Izanami and Izanagi were, or even what Fujin's one task was. That's going to need some reworking. Figure out Takeda's origin and fill us in.

There are lots of legends about the various Ayakashi, and plenty of wiggle room to invent your own. This history is very vague on the whole, and seems to gloss over the character without explaining anything. Tell us about him. Who was he? How did he become a wind demon? When? How did he first use his bag of wind, as opposed to now? You said he's had time to study multiple professions and a few were his favorites, which were they?

You say he's lost all of his powers but shapeshifting by battling Magi. How'd that happen? You mention a "small titanic battle against his old rival Raijin." Who is that, what happened, and when did that even happen? What was the catalyst that led up to that fight? What were the consequences to Takeda? What is he doing now?

Basically it's an interesting concept, but overall there were too many unanswered questions for it to feel solid. Don't just answer my questions for the sake of answering them; put some thought into them and really flesh him out. He can be a vague and confusing person as a character, but his app needs to be easy to understand for everyone. I look forward to the finished results, though!
